Our hero ingredients
Active 16+ mānuka honey
Manuka honey is an antibacterial super antioxidant, rich in amino and essential fatty acids. It’s also a natural humectant – meaning it draws moisture to the skin; promoting skin cell repair and collagen production.
Kanuka honey
Kanuka honey contains hydrogen peroxide which is a natural antiseptic, providing a barrier to bacteria and further infection making it effective at reducing redness while speeding up repair and minimising scarring.
Mānuka oil
Distilling the leaves, flowers, and branches of the native tea tree (manuka) produces a powerful antibacterial and stress relieving oil. The oil is a well-known as a natural remedy for irritated and problem skin.
Pure New Zealand bee venom
Our skincare gently reacts to bee venom using a micro-damage and micro-repair philosophy. This process improves blood circulation to the deeper layers of the skin to promote collagen and elastin production. Our bee venom is ethically sourced from apiaries in New Zealand.
New Zealand kiwifruit extract
Rich in vitamin C, this acidic fruit is a superhero, packed with antioxidants designed to fight free radicals that damage skin. Concentrated levels reduce redness and brighten the skin, targeting dark spots and maintaining the skin’s natural pH.
New Zealand avocado oil
Grown in nutrient-rich volcanic soil, the extracted oil is rich in antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and has every nutrient your skin needs to reduce age spots, stay hydrated and moisturised for a more youthful appearance.
New Zealand grape seed oil
This buzzed-about anti-ageing ingredient is rich in antioxidants which help to eliminate oxidative stress, reduce redness and protect from environmental influences, brightening tired-looking skin and improving elasticity.
New Zealand ponga fern
Used for centuries by the Maori people of New Zealand to repair and protect their skin, ponga fern contains a clever composition of polysaccharides, providing a barrier to aid in skin relief and prevent skin slackening.
New Zealand glacial clay
A unique 100% natural green clay, high in mineral content due to its glacial and volcanic origins. A natural skin hero, the clay heals, strengthens, rejuvenates and deeply cleanses your skin.
New Zealand Rotorua white mud
This natural cleansing, antiseptic and healing mud is rich in minerals. When it dries it produces heat and increases blood circulation to help eliminate toxins while absorbing excess oils and fatty secretions from the skin’s pores, leaving skin fresh, clean and balanced.
Vanilla oil
Vanilla is a great source of B vitamins, which play an important role in maintaining healthy skin. Calming and relaxing vanilla oil helps the skin regenerate and prevents drying. Using vanilla is also an effective natural way of preserving our skincare, plus it smells great!
Moringa oil
Moringa is an amazing tree with many health benefits. Every bit of the moringa tree is edible. The natural vitamin C in moringa oil boosts collagen, helping reduce fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin. This nutrient-dense oil makes for an excellent active ingredient, well known for its antibacterial and nourishing properties.
Plant-based retinol
Our vegan-friendly retinol is derived from sustainable sources and free from allergens. Retinol penetrates the outer layer of the skin to deeply repair, restoring suppleness, plumping skin, smoothing fine lines, and promoting collagen production.
Salicylic acid
Also known as 2-hydroxybenzoic acid, salicylic acid occurs naturally in willow tree bark. It’s widely used as an FDA-approved safe and effective acne prevention product.
Type 1 marine collagen
Harvested using sustainable aquaculture practices, Type 1 marine collagen is very close to human collagen, which is a vital component of connective tissues, organs, and bones. The older we get, the less collagen we produce. Type 1 marine collagen is used to strengthen not only skin, hair, and nails, but tendons, organs, and bones.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a critical ingredient for the optimal absorption of collagen. This essential vitamin also boosts our immune system and helps to support brain function, gut, and cardiovascular health.
Skin cell regeneration
Our independent scientific research, conducted by Trinity Laboratories in New Zealand with the assistance of a New Zealand Ministry of Science and Innovation grant, has shown up to 80% skin cell regeneration using products that have properties found only in New Zealand, including active 16+ mānuka honey, superfruit extracts and pure New Zealand bee venom.
New Zealand Mānuka Honey
Mānuka honey has been the focus of extensive worldwide scientific research with evidence validating its unique healing properties, setting it apart from all other honeys. This is a secret the indigenous Māori of New Zealand have known for generations, using the entire mānuka bush for food, oral care, medicine, and wound healing.
Antibacterial: Methylglyoxal is the active ingredient in mānuka honey and is responsible for the anti-bacterial effect.
Anti-microbial: Studies show broad spectrum antimicrobial effects due to the low pH of mānuka honey.
Anti-viral: Mānuka honey houses compounds and enzymes that have been clinically proven to improve our immune system and protect from viruses.
Anti-inflammatory: Mānuka honey & mānuka oil (from the leaves), at the right concentration, can reduce redness and block substances in the body that cause inflammation. Mānuka oil can also reduce inflammation and aid in repair of fungal complaints.
Antioxidant: Our bodies need to maintain a balance between free radicals and antioxidants. When not balanced, it leads to oxidative stress. Mānuka honey is a powerful antioxidant both orally and topically naturally balancing our bodies.
New Zealand Bee Venom
Your skin reacts to bee venom as an irritant as though lightly stung with melittin – the active compound in bee venom. This provides the following benefits for your skin:
Collagen Stimulation: Increase blood circulation stimulating cell regeneration and the production of collagen.
Exfoliation: With a micro-damage/micro-repair philosophy, bee venom gently encourages skin cell renewal effective for skin repair and rejuvenation.
"Beetox": Considered a natural alternative to botox, the venom stimulates facial muscles for a natural anti-aging effect by smoothing and firming out fine lines.
Anti-inflammatory: Studies conducted on Melittin, the active compound in bee venom, have shown they can have a reduction in inflammation of acne-causing bacteria.
New Zealand Superfruits
New Zealand grown kiwifruit, grapes and berries are known to contain twice the level of antioxidants compared to those grown elsewhere in the world due to our high levels of UV exposure.
